Our composite thin cladding panels have been designed and manufactured in the UK.  The brick slips are bonded to class ‘O’ fire rated cement particle board specially designed for fire walls and fireplace openings.  Quick and easy to install, the panels are indistinguishable from traditional brickwork.

These fire resistant, high performance composite panels are engineered to be thinner than faux brick alternatives.  They are water, frost and heat resistant and since the brick slips are made from reconstituted stone they will not ‘blow’ like traditional clay bricks are prone to.

A typical tradesman can fit around 8 m2 of loose brick slips a day.  With our thin cladding panels this could be as much as 40 m2.  If you factor in this rapid fitting time the panels are very much a cost effective option.

Once bonded and secured to a wall the brick slip facings are pointed.  Please use Refractory (Fire Cement) .  This means there are no visible joints.  Our panels can withstand temperatures ranging between -40 to 150 degrees Celsius therefore are suitable behind log/wood burners, gas and electrical fires as well as external use in new builds or property face lifts.

If used to clad the outside of a property or internally for a feature wall, your project is sure to impress.

Fitting Guide:

The boards should be mechanically fixed and glued to the substrate. The glue should be applied in horizontal lines to the back of the board, approximately 50mm apart.

A bead of adhesive should also be applied to the edges of the boards. This prevents cracking of the grout.

The pointing mortar should include a plasticizer and be suitable for the environment in which it is located.

Flat wall (no corners):

Similar to tiling, the panels should be fitted so that the bricks look evenly spaced between the edges. The panels can be cut to size with either a diamond blade or stone disc, similar to stone or brick.

If the area to be covered includes external corners, start there first and work away from the corner. Matching corners (or pistols) are available to match the panels. The panel will require a small amount of trimming.
