Make a small bathroom look a lot bigger with neutral colours that run along the floor, up the walls and even continue onto the bath and loo. This will create the feeling of never ending space, rather than breaking up the bathroom into separate areas. Segregating areas can make a small room feel boxed in.
Alternatively, add depth to a small narrow bathroom with a feature wall. Using tile effect or flat designer splash panels works well and is a fantastic way of adding interest and ambiance. An alternative to tiling our splash panels are between 2 – 3 mm thick so ideal for maximizing your room space. Easy to cut and fit, reducing waste and cost. These panels are also easy to keep clean as there’s no grout for the dirt to get trapped in.

There’s no need to keep a small bathroom or other space plain and minimalist. If you like vintage style then go for it. Clever storage will stop everything from feeling cluttered and maintain a feeling of space and sophistication. Mirrors can completely transform the look and feel of a room. They reflect light and create the impression of space. It’s a great trick that all interior designers use all the time.
If you don’t have the budget to give your small spaces an entire makeover, then you don’t have to take down old tiles to add our splash panels. You can just install over existing walls. Accessories will do wonders for a compact space. Choose a theme like coastal, floral or monochrome which are all bang on trend and easy to implement. Apply the style of your choice to lighting, mirrors, accessories and soft furnishings. This will instantly transform the space.
